SIX WEASELS OF MAINE

There are no weasels in this group, and none of its three members are from Maine. Gainesville-based vocalist Jill Burton, Brooklyn percussionist Andrew Drury and Madrid electronic improviser Wade Matthews chose that name during a New-England tour. Relaxing in a local café, they were struck by a small poster that asked: "Can you identify the six weasels of Maine?" The question remains unanswered, but hope springs eternal. The 𝘞𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘴 tour the United States each time Matthews manages to cross the Atlantic and the music they produce together is no laughing matter, although it is certainly exciting for everyone involved.
