Albert Cirera (tenor and soprano saxes, objects) and Wade Matthews met in Madrid when Albert came to perform in CRUCE. Arte y pensamiento. On subsequent visits they performed together at that same space in ¡Escucha! the leading concert series for free improvisation in Madrid. Struck by the sonic compatibility of Matthews' electronic sounds and Cirera's extraordinarily rich and varied acoustic language, they began playing together frequently in duo, as well as in trio and quintet on numerous occasions across Spain and France. Their first recording, "How the Rabbit got Away" was published to enthusiastic reviews in late 2025 by the Scottish label Scattered Archives.
